The Reaches of New York City - 1939

This 1939 National Geographic Society historical Map of the reaches of New York City shows places of interest such as Historic monuments, Shrines, Ruins, and noteworthy architecture, and famous figures of the time. An inset in the bottom right corner shows the map to South Jersey, extending from Philadelphia to the Delaware Bay, and to the Atlantic ocean.

Our reproductions are handmade in our Los Angeles studio, using only high resolution files printed on archival cotton weave canvas. They are twice varnished with a Polymer gloss that ensures UV protection and enhances the colors. Decorative wood is assembled on the top and bottom, with two eye-hooks mounted on the top piece. We also supply a jute rope that can be attached between the two eye-hooks to give the map that old pull down map feel.

During the restoration process, we pay great attention to matching the colors to the original maps. Please note that your computer screen might display slightly different colors than our professionally calibrated monitors.
