Map of Pittsburgh 1891
This 1891 map of Pittsburgh shows railways, street car lines, city blocks, parks, and includes numerical references to various points of interest, city's major buildings, hotels, and churches. It was part of the Library Atlas Of Modern Geography, published by D. Appleton and Company, NY.
Our reproductions are handmade in our Los Angeles studio, using only high resolution files printed on archival cotton weave canvas. They are twice varnished with a Polymer gloss that ensures UV protection and enhances the colors. Decorative wood is assembled on the top and bottom, with two eye-hooks mounted on the top piece. We also supply a jute rope that can be attached between the two eye-hooks to give the map that old pull down map feel.
During the restoration process, we pay great attention to matching the colors to the original maps. Please note that your computer screen might display slightly different colors than our professionally calibrated monitors.
