Roman Empire 1839

This French map of the Roman Empire shows the empire under Theodosius the Great who was Roman Emperor from AD 379 to AD 395. The map shows the roads across the Empire, the political States of Southern Europe and Northern Africa at the beginning of the Punic wars, and the limits of the Roman Republic at the time of the first slaves revolt, Roman conquests, invasions and barbarians settlements.

Our reproductions are handmade in our Los Angeles studio, using only high resolution files printed on archival cotton weave canvas. They are twice varnished with a Polymer gloss that ensures UV protection and enhances the colors. Decorative wood is assembled on the top and bottom, with two eye-hooks mounted on the top piece. We also supply a jute rope that can be attached between the two eye-hooks to give the map that old pull down map feel.

During the restoration process, we pay great attention to matching the colors to the original maps. Please note that your computer screen might display slightly different colors than our professionally calibrated monitors.
