Air France Double Hemisphere Map of the World - 1952
This Air France full color double hemisphere map of the world was created by Lucien Boucher in 1952 and features in each of the 4 corners scenes and historical sights from all parts of the globe. Flowers and exotic animals decorate the areas between the globes. The routes of the airline are shown in red, spanning each continent and inset presents the routes from Paris to various parts of the world. Lucien Boucher, known by Air France as 'Mr. Planishpere', created airline world map posters designs from the early 1930's until 1962.
