Map of Venice - 1838
This 1838 hand colored, engraved map of Venice, Italy was originally published by the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge as part of a two volumes educational set. An inset on the top right corner shows a plan of the environs of Venice, with the lagunes. On the top left, a scene depicts the Mint, St. Mark's Church, and the Palace. The bottom of the map displays drawings of 12 buildings, structures, and facades.
